Ageing Years
Was talking with my very good friend about life, the meaning of it, value, time, become older, it's needed from time to time !
We discussed that the beauty of things is not depended of age.
Things that were build once new and were beautiful, are most of the time for people worthless when aged.
Actually the aging of human life and things around us, is just one of the most beautiful things that can happen. It has her own story, experience and charm. If you start to look at it from that point of view, you discover a new world. Also new possibilities. This inspired me to shoot this photo.
This shed told me something about aging, times that did pass with a lot of memories around. It tells me something about what human did made once, but unfortunately left it there as if it was worthless. But time didn't forget this special place, and shaped it through what it is today. Even it looks broken and left, it still has something warm and cosy inside.

I did process this photo in a duotone sepia color to enlarge the feeling of aged years and the history around it.
Hope that with this little introduction I can bring you a little closer to the moment
and feeling I had there when taking this photo.

And for those who are interested in it, here the facts about the making of.

You did an amazing job here!
Be proud on yourself, i mean this serious and honest !!

The colour tones match so well with that old little huisje, it's just perfect !!

The sky looks impressive, little thick clouds that look like made for you and don't forget the lighted path in the sky .. lovely !!

Old does not always mean unworthy and ugly. This little huisje has it's own little charme and reminds of previous times.

A wonderful job - I am proud on you !!

you could not get enough positive response to this.... no matter how hard all of us tried.
especially as i have in mind your remark that you haven't really had time for any photography lately. so you've probably invested quite a lot to do this. and it turned out amazingly perfect.
