Small Windmill Rijnsburg 1783
Found this nice little windmill in Rijnsburg, The Netherlands. I really loved it the first time I saw it. Went back there after 8 days to take the photo, cause the days before the weather didn't work with me. The clouds were very nice at that moment as well as the weather. I needed a fast shutter speed cause the vanes where turning really fast and for me, the right moment was when they were positioned diagonal. Minor other detail was that there were passing cars in the background. They just don't fit in a picture like this. So I had to deal with both dependencies. Besides that I wanted the vane with the sash placed in the upper right corner, just to get the most contrast with the cloud. Because of the feeling of 'old-days' I processed this picture in Black & White. Info Camera: Canon Model: 450D Shutter speed: 1/1000 sec Aperture: F/5.6 Focal Length: 27 mm ISO speed: 200 Lens: 18-55 mm IS I was asked by Eric Farmer [link] to make some typical Dutch landscape pictures. This is the first one. More to come. Thoughts and comments are more then welcome! |
