Today's first day of autumn weather in the Netherlands. A lot of wind blowing around, first leaves are falling and the temp became below 15 degrees and thats pretty cold after some nice warm summer weeks.

Is there some interesting news to share with you folks? Hmmm I dunno, decide yourself if you like it or not. Did recently make a trip to France, to be more specific in the Vendee. A beautiful area with lot's of interesting spots. Unfortunately I was not in the position to visit all the beautiful locations there, but the good news is that it is a very good reason to go back one time
I did bring some nice photo's home, I hope I can share with you in the upcoming weeks.

I worked on a new journal skin and I'm happy with it. Was time for some new impulses Hope you like it as well. Any comments are welcome!

Do you also need so much time to keep in track?
Working hard and trying to keep my dA administration up-to-date. I discovered that all the notifications, of artists I watch, are running out of bounds.
Today I worked on organizing my contacts, it means that I made groups and put artists in it. I did also reconsider the notifications I wanna have of every artist.
Some people I did already add a long time ago, I like their art, but you never see them back on your own page. For that reason I decided to keep them in the watch-list, but I don't wanna be notified anymore about their new art or journals. I will just visit their pages from time to time to see if there is new interesting stuff in it

Besides this, a nice journal of BlueCello was triggering me this week about just adding art for (maybe) own profit.
I see it more often, people just add some art, but don't leave a comment. You don't know what they like about your art or what they dislike. I think that's sad. I understand it in some way, I mean, you don't have always the time for commenting in so much words. But better leave a comment as well to improve the artist skills or just to share your vision / taste.


My furniture came finally in, partly, but nicely.
End of week the last object will also come and then I can finally arrange the last stuff and enjoy some cosy moments in the eve, or morning times with a tea or coffee.
I still need to work on the house, I will also schedule that for the upcoming weeks.

While back in dA and watching the new user interface I have to say that I like it a lot.
I did work the last days on some ideas and tried to re-arrange parts and make some adds.
For the time being I leave it like it is now until more inspiration pops up!

I did spend the last days with watching new art, made some new friends and a new column Promoting Art.
In this column I will ask some more attention for undervalued art.
A lot of people have in no time hundreds and sometimes even thousands of favorites / comments while the submitted work itself is not always state of the art.
No problem, but a little disappointing for those who also try to bring their art to the community and need to work hard for some comments or fav's.
This is the reason why I will try to bring some artists a little more under attention!

Okay, not a big journal this time, but enough for now.
Tomorrow my new furniture will come in after 15 weeks waiting
Now I can finally finish my new home.
Tomorrow eve I will visit my friend and we will play a little penny-whistle again.

Since autumn a lot has changed in my life and some of you have maybe been wondering where I was for all that time.
I did give myself a little dA break. Partly cause of a movement, being ill, but also cause I just needed a break. I discovered that I wasn't satisfied anymore about my work, the comments I did get and the pleasure I had in taking photo's.
What I did really miss is positive critique, in a way you building up each others skills.
I think it's all about taking the time to watch the work of someone else, not just a message like "nice work", but try to place yourself in the photographer, what did interest him or her in this, how is it captured, what is the message?
And then try to be honest, who is waiting for dating-site comments better go somewhere else, here it's about art and for that reason I really appreciate that people have a critique look at my and each others work.
Am I back now? For sure!
I did recently upload one photo. Not much, but it's a start.

And last but not least, I did miss being here and it feels just wonderful to be back !!!


Well.. about the weekend! It was just wonderful!
I did get a real nice present, a ticket to Lord of the Dance!
Wow... I can tell you it was amazing!
I did enjoy the music, the show to the MAX!
A wonderful memory has been saved in my heart forever!
And again a chance to be in Germany, Essen it was to be precisely.
It really made my day, my weekend and even my week!!!

The season changed again and now the colours are turning into nice red, yellow and still a lot of green! In this time of year the sky is amazing, great clouds and nice blue backgrounds.
Specially in the eve's they turn into red or orange!
I really love that and did also try to capture some nice moments.

It's been a little while that I was here, but I tried to sign in from time to time to reply to new messages and favorites.

I noticed already that a lot happened here in dA.
many new work, new members and also more people who where just to busy to sign in frequently.

I hope you all feel great and life is bringing you what you really need and deserve.
For me a more or less busy time will come, I have to (want to ) move to a new house at the end of november. I am already preparing for that now.

And finally, a new season means maybe also a new ID for dA.
But for this, I have to think of something nice, so that can take a while
